Shareholders of Lithium Australia Ltd (ASX:LIT, OTC:LMMFF) at yesterday's annual general meeting approved the company’s name change to Livium Ltd, effective today
This change reflects the company's evolving focus and a potential shift in strategic direction.
The company’s ASX code will remain as ‘LIT.’
The company intends to migrate to a new website in the coming days and says it will update the market of this change in due course.
Managing director and CEO Simon Linge sat down with Proactive’s Tylah Tully last week to discuss the change.
Linge explained that the company was "often seen as a mining company, or an exploration company, but we’ve really pivoted away from that over the past few years.
"Particularly given the progress that we’ve made in the last 18 months to secure our position as a technology business, providing critical materials to the battery industry, we felt that this was one of the last pieces to put in place."
