Kin Mining NL (ASX:KIN) has unearthed several anomalous gold zones in an aircore drilling program at the Murrin Project, some 45 kilometres east of Leonara in Western Australia.

The company completed 8,740 metres of aircore drilling, with results of particular note including:

  • 4 metres at 0.95g/t gold from 20 metres;
  • 4 metres at 1.52g/t gold from 12 metres; and
  • 16 metres at 0.63g/t gold from 32 metres.

The aircore program was completed over 400-metre line spacing, designed to follow-up anomalies detected in auger drilling in 2021.

KIN’s drilling encountered mineralisation up to 800 metres along strike from 40 historical reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled at the target site, which previously returned results grading up to 24 metres at 2.26 g/t gold.

Further exploration efforts

Kin Mining has now moved to a stage two assessment at Murrin, preparing to undertake 200-metre line spaced drilling over the anomalous areas under review.

The company has already begun a combination of follow-up RC and diamond drilling at the Rangoon and Helens East areas of the company’s Cardinia Gold Camp Project, following up more promising results from these areas.

The highest grade intercept from the Rangoon and Helens East areas of Cardinia previously returned 32 metres at 2.98g/t gold from 129 metres, including intersections of 12 metres at 5.62 g/t from 129 metres and 12 metres at 2.25g/t from 149 metres.
