Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Travel & Leisure and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.57% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 3.45% or 0.098 points to trade at 2.942 at the close. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) added 2.38% or 0.0900 points to end at 3.8700 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 0.82% or 0.11 points to 13.53 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which lost 3.63% or 0.370 points to trade at 9.810 in late trade. Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) declined 3.38% or 0.44 points to end at 12.56 and Recordati (MI:RECI) shed 3.37% or 1.23 points to 35.27.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 280 to 81 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.29% or 0.13 to $44.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.11% or 0.05 to hit $47.59 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.30 to trade at $1245.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1426, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8798.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 95.44.
