Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which rose 2.27% or 0.52 points to trade at 23.40 at the close. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 1.28% or 0.65 points to end at 51.60 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 1.20% or 0.27 points to 22.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tenaris (MI:TENR), which lost 5.51% or 0.84 points to trade at 14.40 in late trade. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) declined 3.86% or 0.6000 points to end at 14.9500 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) shed 2.85% or 0.078 points to 2.658.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 187 to 158 and 22 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.83% or 0.91 to $48.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.81% or 0.95 to hit $51.46 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.63 to trade at $1266.83 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.0873, while EUR/GBP fell 0.74% to 0.8426.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 99.03.
