Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which rose 1.30% or 0.18 points to trade at 14.02 at the close. Terna (MI:TRN) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 5.075 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was down 0.07% or 0.010 points to 14.720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mediaset (MI:MS), which lost 3.51% or 0.126 points to trade at 3.460 in late trade. Recordati (MI:RECI) declined 3.14% or 1.19 points to end at 36.71 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) shed 2.73% or 0.078 points to 2.784.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 245 to 105 and 15 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.90% or 0.43 to $47.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.16% or 0.58 to hit $49.37 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.01 to trade at $1282.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1252, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.8709.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.78.
