Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which fell 0.13% or 0.03 points to trade at 22.47 at the close. Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) fell 0.62% or 0.30 points to end at 47.70 and Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) was down 0.65% or 0.040 points to 6.110 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which lost 3.50% or 0.1180 points to trade at 3.2540 in late trade. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) declined 2.95% or 2.75 points to end at 90.60 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) shed 2.94% or 0.1180 points to 3.9000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 296 to 63 and 16 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.23% or 0.11 to $48.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $51.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.42 to trade at $1292.52 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1812, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.9083.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 93.04.
