Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 2.50% or 0.1090 points to trade at 4.4750 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 0.80% or 0.12 points to end at 15.20 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was up 0.75% or 0.07 points to 10.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI), which lost 2.01% or 0.069 points to trade at 3.358 in late trade. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) declined 1.90% or 0.2800 points to end at 14.4600 and Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) shed 1.69% or 0.124 points to 7.210.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 203 to 134 and 41 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $66.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $72.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1221.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1562, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.8995.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 95.24.
