Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Salvatore Ferragamo SpA (MI:SFER), which rose 2.24% or 0.45 points to trade at 20.50 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) added 1.32% or 0.49 points to end at 37.59 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 1.13% or 0.34 points to 30.39 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlantia (MI:ATL), which lost 2.15% or 0.39 points to trade at 17.77 in late trade. Prysmian (MI:PRY) declined 2.09% or 0.45 points to end at 21.12 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) shed 2.02% or 1.12 points to 54.28.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 205 to 158 and 31 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.81% or 0.55 to $67.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.43% or 0.33 to hit $76.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1201.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.1559, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 95.35.
