Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC), which rose 2.38% or 0.18 points to trade at 7.67 at the close. A2A (MI:A2) added 1.55% or 0.025 points to end at 1.609 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was up 1.04% or 0.025 points to 2.375 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 5.91% or 0.273 points to trade at 4.347 in late trade. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 2.23% or 0.86 points to end at 37.69 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) shed 1.53% or 0.160 points to 10.295.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 195 to 154 and 30 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.98% or 2.75 to $66.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.74% or 2.79 to hit $71.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1218.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1595, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.9004.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 95.06.
