Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Travel & Leisure and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 2.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 7.17% or 0.698 points to trade at 10.430 at the close. Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI) added 4.85% or 0.103 points to end at 2.238 and Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) was up 4.79% or 0.118 points to 2.583 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tenaris (MI:TENR), which lost 0.96% or 0.13 points to trade at 13.43 in late trade. Atlantia (MI:ATL) declined 0.65% or 0.12 points to end at 17.66 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) shed 0.64% or 0.70 points to 109.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 266 to 105 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.25% or 0.17 to $67.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.44% or 0.34 to hit $77.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1201.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1601, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8906.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 95.09.
