Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC), which rose 4.78% or 0.28 points to trade at 6.14 at the close. Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 3.92% or 0.63 points to end at 16.70 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) was up 3.84% or 0.288 points to 7.780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which lost 1.65% or 0.0082 points to trade at 0.4899 in late trade. Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) declined 0.71% or 0.018 points to end at 2.532 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) shed 0.62% or 0.075 points to 12.080.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 240 to 128 and 19 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.64% or 0.43 to $67.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.47% or 0.36 to hit $76.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.10 to trade at $1231.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1372, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8870.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 96.41.
