Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.66% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 2.83% or 0.295 points to trade at 10.725 at the close. Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) added 2.57% or 0.160 points to end at 6.380 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 2.23% or 0.0820 points to 3.7640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 1.92% or 0.083 points to trade at 4.251 in late trade. Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) declined 1.19% or 0.09 points to end at 7.12 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) shed 1.00% or 0.14 points to 13.86.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 220 to 150 and 32 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.01% or 0.71 to $71.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $78.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1202.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1743, while EUR/GBP rose 1.18% to 0.8980.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 93.83.
