Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which rose 3.89% or 0.172 points to trade at 4.596 at the close. UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) added 2.66% or 0.051 points to end at 1.970 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 2.64% or 0.1040 points to 4.0440 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which lost 3.10% or 0.1080 points to trade at 3.3720 in late trade. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) declined 1.78% or 1.65 points to end at 91.20 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) shed 1.17% or 0.60 points to 50.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 185 to 173 and 22 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.19% or 0.11 to $57.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.29% or 0.18 to hit $62.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 7.23 to trade at $1274.87 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1902, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8812.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.94.
