Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 2.66% or 490 points to trade at 18880 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.90% or 68 points to end at 3645 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was up 1.36% or 83 points to 6166 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which lost 2.10% or 15.9 points to trade at 741.1 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.08% or 17 points to end at 1563 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) shed 1.07% or 42 points to 3890.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 188 to 181 and 78 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.03% or 1.38 to $46.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.33% or 1.12 to hit $49.10 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1349.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.19% to 3.7529, while EUR/ILS rose 0.13% to 4.2315.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 94.80.
