Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 1.55% or 290 points to trade at 19060 at the close. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) added 1.50% or 500 points to end at 33780 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 1.11% or 160 points to 14550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Partner (TA:PTNR), which lost 3.42% or 61 points to trade at 1721 in late trade. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) declined 2.47% or 66 points to end at 2601 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) shed 2.28% or 146 points to 6244.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 295 to 98 and 17 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.51% or 0.32 to $62.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.27% or 0.18 to hit $66.03 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.80 to trade at $1319.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.36% to 3.4700, while EUR/ILS rose 0.71% to 4.2796.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 89.46.
