Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL), which rose 2.47% or 3.7 points to trade at 153.7 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) added 1.48% or 6.0 points to end at 411.6 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 1.24% or 590 points to 47990 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.99% or 88 points to trade at 1675 in late trade. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 2.98% or 249 points to end at 8106 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) shed 2.63% or 520 points to 19280.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 227 to 140 and 45 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.98% or 0.71 to $73.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.15% or 0.12 to hit $77.34 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1251.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.19% to 3.6570, while EUR/ILS rose 0.41% to 4.2346.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 94.91.
