Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT), which rose 1.40% or 420 points to trade at 30520 at the close. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) added 1.10% or 340 points to end at 31180 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was up 0.43% or 2.3 points to 531.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Harel (TA:HARL), which lost 3.16% or 80 points to trade at 2449 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 2.58% or 1460 points to end at 55190 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) shed 2.52% or 750 points to 29030.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 303 to 84 and 21 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.65% or 0.95 to $56.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.34% or 0.84 to hit $62.02 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1266.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.27% to 3.5140, while EUR/ILS fell 0.01% to 4.1443.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 93.52.
