Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 5.10% or 369 points to trade at 7599 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 1.06% or 24 points to end at 2294 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was up 0.93% or 3.9 points to 423.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which lost 3.04% or 76 points to trade at 2427 in late trade. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 2.62% or 28 points to end at 1041 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) shed 2.41% or 1390 points to 56340.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 272 to 109 and 21 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.86% or 0.62 to $71.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.90% or 0.72 to hit $78.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1291.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.5740, while EUR/ILS fell 0.28% to 4.1842.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 93.89.
