Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 2.33% or 1980 points to trade at 86910 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) added 1.45% or 11 points to end at 742 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was up 1.41% or 90 points to 6480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which lost 3.24% or 101 points to trade at 3019 in late trade. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 3.09% or 315 points to end at 9885 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) shed 2.93% or 66 points to 2185.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 189 to 187 and 36 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.66% or 0.38 to $57.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.29% or 0.83 to hit $63.62 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.32% or 18.45 to trade at $1418.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.32% to 3.6022, while EUR/ILS fell 0.03% to 4.1027.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 95.588.
