Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 4.96% or 510 points to trade at 10800 at the close. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 2.36% or 3.8 points to end at 164.5 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 2.19% or 460 points to 21450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG), which lost 2.99% or 820 points to trade at 26650 in late trade. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) declined 2.83% or 800 points to end at 27500 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) shed 1.79% or 340.0 points to 18620.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 200 to 184 and 117 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.59% or 0.27 to $45.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.79% or 0.38 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.79% or 10.05 to trade at $1269.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.09% to 3.5314, while EUR/ILS fell 0.06% to 3.9522.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 97.24.
