Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL), which rose 3.89% or 5.8 points to trade at 154.8 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 3.41% or 247 points to end at 7490 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) was up 2.88% or 255 points to 9111 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Partner (TA:PTNR), which lost 2.61% or 35 points to trade at 1305 in late trade. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 1.81% or 1410 points to end at 76330 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) shed 1.35% or 240 points to 17590.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 201 to 182 and 19 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.08% or 0.80 to $73.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $77.33 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.10% or 13.70 to trade at $1255.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.6491, while EUR/ILS fell 0.20% to 4.2510.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.40.
