Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.58% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which rose 3.65% or 2150 points to trade at 61050 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 2.90% or 880 points to end at 31260 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was up 2.34% or 12.5 points to 546.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which lost 1.67% or 410.0 points to trade at 24200.0 in late trade. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) declined 1.23% or 400 points to end at 32200 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) shed 0.83% or 100 points to 11900.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 298 to 129 and 14 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.30% or 0.18 to $60.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.55% or 0.37 to hit $66.50 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.20 to trade at $1314.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.37% to 3.4579, while EUR/ILS rose 0.21% to 4.1668.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 91.61.
