Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT), which rose 3.28% or 1010 points to trade at 31800 at the close. Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) added 2.98% or 880.0 points to end at 30430.0 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 2.77% or 810 points to 30080 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp), which lost 2.00% or 0.9 points to trade at 44.0 in late trade. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) declined 1.52% or 105 points to end at 6788 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) shed 1.19% or 40 points to 3335.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 250 to 121 and 15 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.43% or 0.88 to $60.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.74% or 0.48 to hit $64.47 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 5.00 to trade at $1325.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.34% to 3.4319, while EUR/ILS rose 0.09% to 4.2526.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 89.66.
