Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which rose 3.19% or 1850 points to trade at 59850 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) added 2.87% or 164 points to end at 5883 and Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TASE:FATTAL) was up 2.83% or 1180 points to 42840 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Strauss Group (TASE:STRS), which lost 2.30% or 250 points to trade at 10600 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 1.48% or 49 points to end at 3256 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) shed 1.18% or 990 points to 83160.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 230 to 160 and 21 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.41% or 1.97 to $59.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 3.55% or 2.28 to hit $66.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 12.35 to trade at $1412.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.31% to 3.5544, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 4.0011.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 96.708.
