Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1), which rose 4.24% or 89 points to trade at 2190 at the close. Harel (TASE:HARL) added 3.22% or 85 points to end at 2726 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 2.15% or 1200 points to 57110 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Melisron (TASE:MLSR), which lost 1.32% or 250 points to trade at 18650 in late trade. Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) declined 1.28% or 780 points to end at 60310 and Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL) shed 1.20% or 600 points to 49480.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 217 to 148 and 49 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $54.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $62.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.25 to trade at $1349.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.14% to 3.5986, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.0335.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 96.968.
