Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.21% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Harel (TA:HARL), which rose 2.21% or 48 points to trade at 2221 at the close. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) added 2.03% or 550 points to end at 27610 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TA:DSCT) was up 1.87% or 16.7 points to 912.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which lost 2.53% or 600.0 points to trade at 23150.0 in late trade. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) declined 1.97% or 1140 points to end at 56700 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 1.60% or 1100 points to 67710.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 213 to 181 and 13 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $50.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $56.10 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.40 to trade at $1277.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.03% to 3.5305, while EUR/ILS rose 0.26% to 4.1517.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 93.36.
