Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL), which rose 2.84% or 4.6 points to trade at 166.6 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 2.07% or 1450 points to end at 71450 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 2.00% or 570 points to 29030 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 2.06% or 207 points to trade at 9863 in late trade. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 1.78% or 20 points to end at 1105 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) shed 1.50% or 470 points to 30880.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 193 to 191 and 31 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.28% or 0.78 to $60.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.87% or 0.56 to hit $63.78 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 7.50 to trade at $1320.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.07% to 3.4584, while EUR/ILS fell 0.59% to 4.2641.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 90.04.
