Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Partner (TA:PTNR), which rose 3.59% or 51 points to trade at 1471 at the close. Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) added 1.99% or 36 points to end at 1847 and Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) was up 1.64% or 34 points to 2104 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which lost 1.32% or 420.0 points to trade at 31300.0 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 1.20% or 26 points to end at 2149 and Harel (TA:HARL) shed 0.94% or 25 points to 2641.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 205 to 165 and 43 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.40% or 0.27 to $68.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.73% or 0.53 to hit $73.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.20 to trade at $1224.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.41% to 3.6431, while EUR/ILS rose 0.27% to 4.2646.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.31.
