Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Strauss Group (TASE:STRS), which rose 4.46% or 460 points to trade at 10770 at the close. Leumi (TASE:LUMI) added 1.72% or 44 points to end at 2597 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was up 1.38% or 680 points to 49900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Melisron (TASE:MLSR), which lost 2.13% or 410 points to trade at 18860 in late trade. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 1.97% or 1690 points to end at 84070 and Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) shed 1.52% or 36 points to 2328.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 190 to 178 and 47 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.32% or 1.96 to $57.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.81% or 1.83 to hit $63.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.43% or 19.85 to trade at $1409.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.25% to 3.5717, while EUR/ILS fell 0.04% to 4.0390.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 96.167.
