Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.05% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TA:PHOE1), which rose 2.00% or 40 points to trade at 2044 at the close. Harel (TA:HARL) added 1.97% or 49 points to end at 2535 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) was up 1.23% or 36 points to 2963 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 0.86% or 51 points to trade at 5847 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 0.61% or 380 points to end at 61780 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 0.54% or 11 points to 2024.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 192 to 174 and 46 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.59% or 0.33 to $56.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.14% or 0.09 to hit $66.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.45 to trade at $1329.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.03% to 3.6192, while EUR/ILS rose 0.21% to 4.0918.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 96.650.
