Intra Energy Corporation Ltd (ASX:IEC) has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors. Peretz Schapiro joins as an executive director and William Dix has been appointed as a non-executive technical director.
Schapiro is an experienced investor and corporate director with a background in the resources sector. He has a strong investor network and expertise in corporate finance, resource exploration and management.
He is the founding chairman of ASX-listed Loyal Lithium Ltd and chairman of Summit Minerals Ltd (ASX:SUM), and has held directorships with several ASX-listed companies.
Schapiro holds a Masters degree in Applied Finance and has been brought in for his understanding of the fundamental parameters, strategic drivers and what it takes to create successful high-growth businesses.
Dix, a geologist with 28 years of experience, has worked in base metal, gold and uranium exploration.
His previous experience includes seven years with LionOre Mining International Ltd in a variety of exploration, mining and management roles.
He has extensive experience in capital raising, mergers and acquisitions and a proven track record of successful project and team management.
Dix, who holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Geology and is a Fellow of the AusIMM, is currently the managing director of Trinex Minerals and a non-executive director of Stelar Metals and has previously served as a director of Fitzroy Resources Ltd, Credo Resources Ltd and Consolidated Zinc Limited.
The appointments have been made in the wake of Ben Dunn and Alan Fraser departing from the company’s Board of Directors.
