Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.50% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 4.25% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.490 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.33% or 0.020 points to end at 0.600 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 2.50% or 0.002 points to 0.082 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which fell 10.53% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.05 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 3.96% or 0.270 points to end at 6.550 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was down 3.41% or 0.006 points to 0.170.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) rose to 52-week lows; rising 3.33% or 0.020 to 0.600.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.84% or 0.82 to $43.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.89% or 0.94 to hit $48.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.25% or 2.70 to trade at $1092.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.11% to 3.2020, while EUR/PEN rose 0.23% to 3.5006.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 97.69.
