Experienced international energy leader Benjamin Mee will join HyTerra Ltd (ASX:HYT) as an executive director to focus on the direction and growth of the company.
HYT is focused on pioneering the exploration and production of natural hydrogen and has an earn-in interest in a Joint Development Agreement with Natural Hydrogen Energy LLC which includes the world’s first wildcat well targeting natural hydrogen in Nebraska, USA. HyTerra also holds 100% owned and operated leases in Kansas, USA.
Mee’s history in major project delivery, joint ventures, leadership and corporate strategy, particularly with Woodside and Shell (LON:RDSa) will no doubt play a pivotal role in HyTerra’s next stage of development and its pioneering aim. This will include developing solutions to mature complex energy resources.
The new director will be responsible for implementing strategies that drive growth and support HYT’s mission to become a leading producer in the natural hydrogen sector.
Mee will take an active involvement in key project decision-making, with a particular focus on end-user offtake opportunities and managing investor relations.
“We are very pleased to have attracted someone of Ben’s calibre to HyTerra. His skill sets and experience will strengthen the composition of the board and we are excited to have him taking a leading role in shaping the direction of the company,” non-executive chairman Russell Brimage said.
