Green Technology Metals Ltd (ASX:GT1) has struck wide intervals of high-grade lithium mineralisation in the first three diamond holes drilled at the Root Bay prospect, on the Root Project of Ontario, Canada.

“Root Bay is the third prospect located on the eastern side of the Root Project with drilling now confirming multiple stacked lithium bearing pegmatites cross cutting a magnetic ridge that extends over six kilometres of highly prospective ground,” Green Technology Metals CEO Luke Cox said.

Phase one diamond drilling program

This phase one program will consist of 20 initial holes – 17 have been completed so far, with 14 more assays to come.

Results from the first three assayed holes include:

RB-23-001: 67.1 metres at 1.13% lithium from 60.9 metres:

  • 7.3 metres at 1.44% lithium from 162.0 metres; and
  • 5.3 metres at 1.34% lithium from 174.3 metres.
RB-23-003: 12.1 metres at 1.30% lithium from 67.4 metres.

RB-23-005: 6.6 metres at 1.47% lithium from 129.2 metres:

  • 4.5 metres at 1.34% lithium from 140.5 metres; and
  • 2.1 metres at 1.09% lithium from 149.0 metres.
Of the holes yet to be assayed, three intersected lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites zones of 14.54 metres, 15.98 metres and 17.8 metres of width.
