Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Construction and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 1.85%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which rose 9.95% or 0.081 points to trade at 0.895 at the close. Meanwhile, Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) added 8.89% or 0.04 points to end at 0.49 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 6.91% or 0.25 points to 3.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which fell 13.39% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.110 at the close. J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) declined 13.11% or 0.054 points to end at 0.358 and Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr) was down 8.82% or 0.15 points to 1.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 29 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.00 to $1113.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.19% or 0.08 to hit $42.31 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.90% or 0.45 to trade at $49.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.35% to 1.1111, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.7117.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 96.60.
