Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Retail and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which rose 9.95% or 1.05 points to trade at 11.60 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) added 9.32% or 0.06 points to end at 0.65 and F.G. Europe (AT:ESKr) was up 5.44% or 0.032 points to 0.620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which fell 10.71% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.075 at the close. Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) declined 8.00% or 0.50 points to end at 5.75 and Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) was down 7.08% or 0.04 points to 0.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 41 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.04% or 12.30 to $1170.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.87% or 0.89 to hit $46.83 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.61% or 1.31 to trade at $49.15 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1319, while EUR/GBP fell 0.56% to 0.7308.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 94.97.
