Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Travel, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which rose 10.00% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.330 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 10.00% or 0.011 points to end at 0.120 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 9.78% or 0.2700 points to 3.0300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which lost 10.00% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.090 in late trade. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 6.25% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.1350 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) shed 3.85% or 0.050 points to 1.250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 49 to 46 and 28 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.11% or 1.45 to $1324.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.84% or 0.40 to hit $48.23 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.76% or 0.38 to trade at $50.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1242, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8636.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 95.30.
