Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 4.03% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.1550 at the close. Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) added 3.05% or 0.080 points to end at 2.700 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was up 2.99% or 0.55 points to 18.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which lost 7.26% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.120 in late trade. Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) declined 5.76% or 0.019 points to end at 0.334 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) shed 4.14% or 0.075 points to 1.735.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 57 to 38 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.72% or 9.25 to $1287.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.09% or 0.05 to hit $53.06 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.13 to trade at $55.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.0631, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8488.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 100.34.
