Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Travel and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 5.77% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.163 at the close. Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 3.06% or 0.09 points to end at 3.03 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was up 2.78% or 0.59 points to 21.84 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 3.12% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.124 in late trade. Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) declined 2.37% or 0.050 points to end at 2.060 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) shed 2.11% or 0.080 points to 3.710.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 57 to 34 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.47% or 5.95 to $1261.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.08% or 0.55 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.47 to trade at $51.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0884, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8915.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 98.72.
