Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 2.45% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iaso (AT:IASr), which rose 1.98% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.720 at the close. Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) added 1.15% or 0.060 points to end at 5.270 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) was up 0.81% or 0.05 points to 6.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Profile Syst (AT:PRFr), which lost 10.13% or 0.086 points to trade at 0.763 in late trade. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 7.58% or 0.025 points to end at 0.305 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) shed 6.61% or 0.066 points to 0.932.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 17 and 6 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 1.36 to $1329.36 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.09% or 1.03 to hit $50.33 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.27% or 0.70 to trade at $55.86 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1875, while EUR/GBP fell 1.33% to 0.8877.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 92.36.
