Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 2.32% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr), which rose 2.19% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.865 at the close. Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) added 2.05% or 0.030 points to end at 1.490 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was up 0.49% or 0.010 points to 2.040 in late trade.
Biggest losers included J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which lost 6.74% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.540 in late trade. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 6.17% or 0.2500 points to end at 3.8000 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) shed 5.75% or 0.185 points to 3.030.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 18 and 21 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.20% or 2.60 to $1301.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.62% or 1.10 to hit $66.78 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.39% or 0.29 to trade at $75.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.1555, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8712.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 94.73.
