Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Food and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 2.07% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 7.84% or 0.4000 points to trade at 5.5000 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 4.79% or 0.008 points to end at 0.175 and Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) was up 4.35% or 0.250 points to 6.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which lost 13.33% or 0.0220 points to trade at 0.1430 in late trade. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 5.68% or 0.005 points to end at 0.083 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) shed 5.66% or 0.003 points to 0.050.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 24 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 4.96 to $1279.16 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.41% or 0.23 to hit $56.97 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $63.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1659, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.8889.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.43.
