Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Retail, Banking and Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.50% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 9.04% or 0.046 points to trade at 0.555 at the close. AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) added 2.84% or 0.040 points to end at 1.450 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 2.68% or 0.1200 points to 4.6000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which lost 7.96% or 1.71 points to trade at 19.76 in late trade. Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr) declined 7.19% or 0.100 points to end at 1.290 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) shed 6.86% or 0.021 points to 0.285.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 65 to 41 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.96 to $1326.34 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $49.94 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.41% or 0.23 to trade at $55.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.39% to 1.1965, while EUR/GBP fell 1.10% to 0.8798.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 91.74.
