Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr), which rose 2.73% or 0.160 points to trade at 6.020 at the close. Korres (AT:KRRr) added 2.51% or 0.110 points to end at 4.500 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 1.39% or 0.040 points to 2.910 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 7.06% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.237 in late trade. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 6.90% or 0.060 points to end at 0.810 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) shed 5.42% or 0.018 points to 0.314.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 21 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 2.96 to $1293.06 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.58% or 0.28 to hit $48.31 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.48% or 0.25 to trade at $51.65 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1792, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.9089.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.17.
