Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Travel, Banking and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 5.26% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 3.87% or 0.007 points to end at 0.188 and AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) was up 2.66% or 0.050 points to 1.950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which lost 3.25% or 0.0290 points to trade at 0.8640 in late trade. Public Power (AT:DEHr) declined 3.05% or 0.09 points to end at 2.86 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) shed 2.89% or 0.26 points to 8.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 58 to 52 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.27% or 3.60 to $1318.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.95% or 0.59 to hit $61.20 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.54 to trade at $64.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.2254, while EUR/GBP fell 0.69% to 0.8775.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 90.16.
