Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Food and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Profile Syst (AT:PRFr), which rose 7.53% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.000 at the close. Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 4.84% or 0.170 points to end at 3.680 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) was up 4.19% or 0.075 points to 1.865 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 8.40% or 0.055 points to trade at 0.600 in late trade. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 4.02% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.2150 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) shed 3.55% or 0.006 points to 0.163.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 56 to 41 and 20 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.89% or 11.70 to $1306.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.72% or 1.06 to hit $60.58 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.99% or 1.29 to trade at $63.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.2180, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8877.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 90.80.
