Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Resources, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.38% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 5.36% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.242 at the close. Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) added 5.00% or 0.030 points to end at 0.630 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 2.98% or 0.100 points to 3.490 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iaso (AT:IASr), which lost 5.88% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.280 in late trade. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 5.05% or 0.550 points to end at 10.350 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) shed 4.26% or 0.008 points to 0.180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 69 to 34 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.40% or 5.30 to $1331.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.10% or 0.65 to hit $58.64 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.47 to trade at $62.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.59% to 1.2365, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8896.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 89.51.
