Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Basic Resources and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 10.81% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.1230 at the close. Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) added 8.57% or 0.015 points to end at 0.190 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) was up 8.53% or 0.3900 points to 4.9600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Reds (AT:CAMr), which lost 5.38% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.880 in late trade. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 3.48% or 0.031 points to end at 0.860 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) shed 3.33% or 0.009 points to 0.261.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 52 to 49 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.23% or 2.90 to $1255.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.84% or 0.61 to hit $73.55 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.54% or 0.42 to trade at $76.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.59% to 1.1759, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 93.67.
