Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr), which rose 3.61% or 0.350 points to trade at 10.050 at the close. Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) added 2.63% or 0.060 points to end at 2.340 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 2.35% or 0.080 points to 3.480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which lost 8.92% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.143 in late trade. Hygeia (AT:HYGr) declined 5.11% or 0.018 points to end at 0.334 and Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) shed 4.44% or 0.250 points to 5.380.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 63 to 37 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.31% or 4.03 to $1278.87 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.75% or 0.42 to hit $55.28 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.77% or 0.48 to trade at $61.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1796, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8962.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.76.
