Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Chemicals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which rose 3.20% or 0.73 points to trade at 23.31 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 2.77% or 0.007 points to end at 0.260 and MLS Multimedia (AT:MLSr) was up 2.31% or 0.100 points to 4.420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which lost 6.31% or 0.3100 points to trade at 4.6000 in late trade. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 5.29% or 0.090 points to end at 1.610 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) shed 5.06% or 0.008 points to 0.150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 52 to 47 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 4.95 to $1274.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.06% or 0.59 to hit $56.23 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.56% or 0.97 to trade at $63.04 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1587, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 94.88.
